Hope

Recently completed commission of Hope Summers, from recent X-Men continuity.  I have to confess, I didn't know much about this character beforehand, and had to read up.  The first bits of info were quite confusing to follow- guess I'm a bit out of the loop.  Still, had fun working on it...

The child who became Hope Summers was the primary subject of Duane Swierczynski's run on CABLE. That was consistently one of the best books Marvel was publishing when it came out (in 2008-2010), but yes, it was impossible to explain elegantly. "See, it's about a warrior from the far future who is being chased by a rogue policeman from a different future because the policeman wants to murder a baby from the present who will be the messiah of the mutant race. Oh, did I mention they're all mutants?"

AND IT WAS STILL AWESOME. Because, well, comics.

Oh, and by the way--hi, Richard! Long time no see.
